The Who will be celebrating a half-century of rock majesty with "The Who Hits 50!" North American tour in 2015. The band – led by songwriter-guitarist Pete Townshend and frontman Roger Daltrey – will kick off their spring run on April 15th in Tampa, Florida and hit 20 eastern stops before concluding May 30th in Forest Hills, New York; the fall leg will commence September 14th in San Diego, California and include performances throughout the west coast and Canada before wrapping up November 4th in Philadelphia. General public ticket sales will begin via the band's official website on Friday, October 17th, at 10 a.m. local time.

According to a press release, the Who's 2015 setlists will span the entirety of the band's iconic catalog – from early gems to classics albums like Who's Next and Tommy up to present-day material. Townshend describes the show's mix of deep cuts and anthems as "Hits, Picks, Mixes and Misses," while Daltrey refers to the tour as "the beginning of the long goodbye."

"Trying to stay young," comments Townshend of the jaunt. "Not wearing socks. Growing a great big Woodcutter's beard. Might even wear a check shirt on stage and get a tattoo of a Union Jack. Always a fashion victim. But under no illusions. We are what we are, and extremely good at it, but we're lucky to be alive and still touring."

Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale for U.S. dates starting Monday, October 13th at 10 a.m. through the Private Pass Program. Further details are available at the company's website. Exclusive VIP packages for the tour include reserved tickets, special access to the band's VIP preshow soundcheck, pre-show VIP parties and autographed limited edition memorabilia. One dollar from each ticket sale will benefit Teen Cancer America.

The tour will feature material included on the band's career-spanning Who Hits 50! collection, which is out October 27th on Geffen/Universal Music Enterprises (UMe). The album features tracks from the band's entire career, including "their very first recordings" as the High Numbers up to the new, Daft Punk-referencing song "Be Lucky."
