Pusha T is back and man it feels god damn great. Grab the new album, "Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude". I'm only halfway through it so far, but man these beats are so god damn great.

Cage The Elephant - Too Late To Say Goodbye


Off of Cage The Elephant's new album "Tell Me I'm Pretty". Fairly different direction for the indie rock band, it was recorded by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The songs off this album have a more "dark/moody" feel to it. Wasn't the biggest fan of CTE but they're definitely growing on me. Highly recommended. Unique way of combining 70s/keyboard/psychedelic/indie/rock elements.

This post is SOLELY dedicated to convincing you to start listening to Tilian. Tilian Pearson used to be the vocalist for Tides of Man. Once ToM so masterfully made the switch from a post-hardcore to a post-rock band (usually no vocalist in post-rock), he spent a couple of years writing for bands such as Saosin and Emarosa. He's currently the vocalist for Dance Gavin Dance but over the last two years has started doing his own solo project as "Tilian".

His voice is one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard in my life. Extremely clean vocals, tremendous range, just overall perfection IMO. And honestly, there's only 2 bands/artists in this whole world where I absolutely love EVERY song they make. The first is the band "Conditions", who recently broke up. The other is Tilian.

I'm going to go in a somewhat chronological order of his albums and what I think are some of the noteworthy songs.

Tilian - Up In The Air

From his first studio album "Material Me", released early 2013. All the songs on that album are A1/top-tier goodiness. Got me addicted right away.

Tilian - Future Friends

This is from his "Future Friends EP" released late 2014.

Tilian - Tug Of War

This is a single off of his new album "Perfect Enemy", just released a couple weeks ago.

Basically, I'm just posting this one to show you that it's not just studio production that makes his voice sound like an angel. He truly is incredible. This is also from his first album "Material Me".

@chinski Thank you for introducing me to Tilian. I thought I'd preview the songs but I found myself listening to Future Friends on repeat, a song I relate to now. Great writer with a voice that's pure talent. I don't understand why he's not famous. In some parts of Future Friends, his writing coupled with his moving voice gave me chills, and not because it's cold. I've just discovered a gem.

I'm going to go through this thread and see what more gems I can find. Great thread.
