I use Foobar2000 and recomend it to everyone, you can coustomize it so much that you cant belive it. There are so much "skins" on Devianart.com or http://customize.org/foobar (this are more than skins, every one has different plugins, functions, DPS, ...) Is a bit difficult to get in, but with time you can do your own new player from this.

I recommend converting it to ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec). It's basically apple's version of FLAC.

VLC and sometimes foobar2000. VLC for the most, it's just plug'n'play

Foobar2000. Lightweight, customizable, loads of plugins, can't really ask for anything else.
