The first CDs I ever owned I was given for my 14th birthday when my dad got me my first CD player. The first album opened was The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails, and the 2nd Smash by The Offspring, the latter of which I still have the original copy of to this day and I'm sure doesn't play worth a crap.

The first CD I ever bought on my own though was Doggystyle by Snoop Doggy Dogg. That album is a classic of the G-Funk Hip Hop era, and probably one of his best front-to-back records. Dre's production golden age.

Does anyone remember those great kids books by Graeme Base? There was one called 'The Worst Band in the Universe' and it came with a CD album.
