This is special...

Video footage has emerged of the moment that Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller joined forces at Bristol’s Downs Festival this weekend. Check it out below.

As Gallagher headlined the event on Saturday night, he was joined onstage by Weller for a cover of The Jam‘s ‘Town Called Malice’.

After performing the 1982 classic, they then delivered their own take on The Beatles ‘All You Need Is Love’.

Check out the performances below.

The performance came at the near-end of a busy festival season that has seen Gallagher putting in a busy shift across the musical fields of Europe. Last week, he compared “deluded” Liverpool FC fans to the Queen Mother in a new interview.

The musician is well known for his love of Manchester City, having been photographed at matches and regularly discussed his fandom over the years.

Appearing on talkSPORT last week, Gallagher was asked how Liverpool fans treat him when he goes to the Merseyside city.

“Liverpool fans are a bit weird,” he replied. “They get over-emotional. They’re like the Queen Mother, Liverpool fans, aren’t they?”

Gallagher also recently revealed recently that he had stumbled across an album, previously thought to be lost, in a sock drawer.

After Oasis split, he had worked with production duo Amorphous Androgynous on a “space rock” record, but later claimed he had destroyed the masters.
