An unofficial album party...

Mumford & Sons kicked off their world tour last night with a huge Dublin show.

Performing at Dublin’s 3Arena on the same day they released fourth album ‘Delta’, it acted as an unofficial album party. After kicking off with the new sound of album track ’42’, they went straight into recent single ‘Guiding Light’.

But after only two tracks, the group took it back to their banjo wielding heyday as they went straight into 2009’s ‘Little Lion Man’ and ‘Lover Of The Light’ from their 2012 second album.

Although the rest of the set proved career spanning, the euphoric strains of ‘I Will Wait’ were ultimately reserved for a second encore. But it was a nod to the present that closed the show, performing one final rendition of ‘Delta’ before leaving the Dublin stage.

“We love you Dublin”, they wrote on Twitter after the show.

They’ll continue to Belfast on Sunday night, before heading across the UK and Europe. You can buy all remaining tickets here.
