The pair joined Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell and more on the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live (RED)' benefit special

Bono and Pharrell Williams teamed up to perform The Bee Gees’ ‘Stayin’ Alive’ as part of a benefit show on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The special episode – which aired yesterday (November 19) to raise money and awareness for (RED), a charity fighting HIV/AIDS – was broadcast ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1. Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell, Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum and Kristen Bell were among the other stars to feature on the show.

As part of the show, Bono and Pharrell covered The Bee Gees’ classic – check out the performance below.

Bono, who fronts U2, later revealed to Kimmel on the show that he and Lady Gaga will co-write a new song about the winner of a (RED) sweepstake.

“Celebrity experiences” are also being offered by Drake, Snoop Dogg, Rich Brian, Pharrell, Sacha Baron Cohen, “2 Dope Queens”’ Phoebe Robinson and more as part of the charity drive.

Last year’s (RED) special saw Bono and Coldplay’s Chris Martin perform ‘One for My Baby’, the Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer song that was popularised by Frank Sinatra. Sean Penn made a cameo as a bartender during the rendition.

Bono recently alluded to what might be the end of U2. Speaking at the final date of the band’s ‘Experience+Innocence’ tour in Berlin earlier this month, the singer told the crowd: “We’ve been on the road for quite some time, just going on 40 years, and this last four years have been really something very special for us.

“We’re going away now,” he added cryptically.
