The Staffordshire bull terrier was abandoned in Stoke-On-Trent

Snoop Dogg reportedly wants to rehome a dog called Snoop after it was abandoned a week before Christmas.

The Staffordshire bull terrier was left on the side of a road with his bed on the corner of Timor Grove and Pacific Road in Trentham.

Video footage shows the pooch trying to get back into the car as a man drives away. Thankfully the dog was found an hour later and taken to a local veterinary practice, where they named him Snoop.

The BBC reports that Snoop Dogg is just one of hundreds of people offering Snoop a home.

“Snoop is such a loveable character and enjoys being around people and gets on well with other dogs,” an RSPCA spokesperson said.

“He just loves getting close to people, sitting between their legs and having cuddles, and is certainly enjoying lots of love and affection from our staff.

“We have been overwhelmed by the hundreds of supportive messages for Snoop and all the people who have offered to give him a home, including some well-known faces such as rapper Snoop Dogg, comedian Sue Perkins and journalist Andrew Neil.”

Speaking to the Daily Star, Snoop Dogg said the dog’s situation was “heartbreaking”.

“There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop,” he continued. “If he really needed a home then he has one with us. But I don’t think there is going to be any shortage of loving homes after all the exposure he has got.”

The RSPCA has said that Snoop is not actually available for adoption yet as they’re still searching for the man responsible for dumping him. The charity added that there are lots of Staffordshire bull terriers in need of loving homes.

Snoop Dogg launched his ‘Doggfather’ doggie clothes in 2006 and also backs the Dog for Dog charity which donates pet food to an animal shelter for every packet sold.
