SiriusXM will broadcast an eclectic line-up of performances from this year's Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, with the station's Alt Nation rebranded as the Lollapalooza Channel. Lorde, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, Childish Gambino, Fitz & the Tantrums, Grouplove, Chvrches, Jenny Lewis and Bleachers will be among the featured artists for the channel, which launches on Friday, August 1st at 6 p.m. EST and runs until Sunday, August 3rd.


According to a press release, the Lollapalooza Channel will air on channel 36, with select performances available on other XM stations (SiriusXMU, The Spectrum, BPM, Hip-Hop Nation), online at the SiriusXM website and through the network's Internet Radio App (on smartphones and "other connected devices"). Live video of performances from the festival will also stream on a Lolla-themed area of the site.

Lollapalooza, which is celebrating its 10th year, kicks off on Friday at Chicago's Grant Park. The 2014 edition will be headlined by Eminem, the newly reunited Outkast, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon and Calvin Harris. Other notable performers include Broken Bells, Spoon, Zedd, Nas, The Avett Brothers, the Head and the Heart, Courtney Barnett, Chance The Rapper, Cage the Elephant, Francisca Valenzuela, The Glitch Mob, Foster the People, Flosstradamus, Young the Giant and Phantogram.
