Sam Smith has been talking candidly about who he thinks will be singing the theme tune for the new James Bond flick, Spectre, out later this year.

Putting paid to gossip that it could be him, this morning Sam Smith told Capital London Breakfast show hosts Dave Berry & Lisa Snowdon that he has heard Ellie Goulding may succeed Adele in providing the vocals for the much anticipated sound track.

LS - 'Oh, we were rooting for you.'
SS - 'I know. I'd love to do it. I'd love to do it.'
LS - 'Maybe next year, or the year after.'
