The musician's first of three 2019 albums will be released in April

Ryan Adams has been sharing snippets of his forthcoming new album ‘Big Colors’ on Instagram via some very retro teasers.

The record is one of three that the musician is set to release in 2019, and will be available on April 19.

In a series of lo-fi video clips, fans can hear clips of the album, including ‘Dreaming You Backwards’, ‘Showtime’, and the Bob Mould-featuring ‘Summer Rain’. The videos feature a variety of footage, from cassette players to lip-syncing cats.

You can watch a selection of them on Adams’ Instagram page.

The star has already shared the full-length versions of ‘Doylestown Girl’, ‘Fuck The Rain’, which features John Mayer, and ‘Manchester’, a Johnny Marr-esque tribute to the English city.

Adams recently announced a new UK tour in support of ‘Big Colors’. Hitting the roading this spring, he will take the record across the country for seven shows, including one at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

Ryan Adams will play:

April 2019

2 – London, Royal Albert Hall
5 – Newcastle, O2 Academy
6 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
7 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
9 – Glasgow, Royal Concert Hall
10 – Sheffield, O2 Academy
11 – Cambridge, Corn Exchange

Two more records from the singer-songwriter will follow before 2019 is through. One has been confirmed to be titled ‘Wednesdays’, while the other is currently untitled. Release dates and other details for the albums are yet to be announced.
