Butler has denied all the claims.

Riverdale actor Ross Butler has been forced to deny bizarre accusations that he was tied up in a plot to kill Frances Bean Cobain’s ex-husband Isiah Silva in order to retrieve a guitar that belonged to the late Kurt Cobain.

The sinister accusations forms a small section of a lawsuit that Silva has filed against him, Courtney Love and former Britney Spears manager Sam Lutfi.

Court documents exposed by the Blast reveal that Butler, who also starred in 13 Reasons Why, has demanded that the case be dropped.

It comes after Silva accused the three of orchestrating a bizarre plot that involved attempted murder, false imprisonment and sexual assault in order to take back the guitar – a 1959 Martin D-18E that was used by Cobain in his now legendary MTV Unplugged performance.

Silva accuses Lutfi of pretending to be police in order to access his apartment, before raiding his home, sexually assaulting him and attempting to kill him.

Isaiah Silva claims he was assaulted

However, Butler says he drove to Silva’s home in June 2016 after Lutfi noticed ‘they had gone silent after sending him some troubling text messages.’

Upon arrival, Butler says that he noticed sheets covering the windows, before an alarm was set off which prompted Silva to come to the door.

“I then entered the house and was greeted calmly and amicably by Silva,” Butler recalled. “Silva was frail, emaciated and had a terrible odor. The house was also messy and had a bad odor.”

“I never entered into a conspiracy or otherwise agreed to commit any crime against Silva,” Butler insisted. “I never conspired with anyone else to murder or kidnap Silva … or take possession of a guitar that Silva claims Ms. Cobain gave to him as a gift.”

For his part, Silva says Frances, 26, gave him the guitar as a present in 2014 to commemorate their anniversary as a couple.

On the same evening as the initial visit, Silva says that the group beat him, took his phone away, and dragged him into a waiting vehicle. Police were eventually called by a friend visiting Silva, who ran outside and used his car to block the group’s exit.

Silva was eventually granted the guitar in a divorce settlement that was settled in 2017.

Butler has denied all the claims.

Frances married Isaiah Silva back in June of 2014. The couple were together for five years and married for less than two when Frances filed for divorce in March 2016. Their divorce came through in November, but a two year legal battle saw Silva controversially awarded the late Kurt Cobain’s iconic guitar from Nirvana‘s MTV Unplugged performance.
