Fans of legendary Aussie music television show RocKwiz have been left in the lurch for the past couple of years, uncertain about the show’s future. Turns out host Julia Zemiro feels exactly the same way.

The show was on the air for a colossal 14 seasons, before not returning after 2016 for whatever reason.

Speaking to TV Tonight, Zemiro said that the show’s producers have been in talks on bringing back the show for the past two years, but obviously to no avail.

“I think SBS wants to try new things, but we are still talking,” she said.

She also said that, if it is really the end, that she’d like some sort of ceremonious goodbye as opposed to just cutting the show off.

“I think we would like one big farewell. If they really are done we would like to do a proper goodbye,” she said. “But it’s like they don’t really want to shut the door.”

Co-producer and co-star Brian Nankervis echoed Zemiro’s words, saying “they are not recommissioning with the current budget.”

“It is frustrating because the audiences just adore it. Maybe SBS will find some money in the next budget.”

However, RocKwiz are about to embark on their ‘RockWiz Revue 2018’ tour this November and December.
