SHANNON Noll has been dropped from a Queensland rodeo line-up following his onstage outburst last week.

The Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo has today announced they have withdrawn the performance by the Australian rocker, scheduled to take place at their 60th celebration next month, in response to the incident at Nyngan’s Duck Creek picnic races.

Noll this week apologised after he was filmed threatening to punch a fan’s “f … ing teeth down your throat” during the tirade at the regional race day gig last weekend after a beer can was tossed onto his stage.

The video of the obscenity-laden rant was shared widely on social media.

Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo General Manager Natalie Flecker said in a post to the rodeo’s Facebook page: “We pride ourselves on our family-friendly environment and reputation so we have made this operational decision to ensure we deliver the best event experience for all attendees.”

In a statement, Noll responded that he was “disappointed to not be there to celebrate such a milestone for an event ingrained within the history and heritage of Queensland”.

“I look forward to returning and being a part of it another time,” he added.

Noll had been due to take the stage on August 10 of the Mount Isa Rodeo weekend.

Ms Flecker said they were now working to fill the gap left in the program.
