Watch the first seven unearthed clips now

Prince‘s estate have launched a new weekly series that will see rare and unseen music videos from the star be released.

The clips will be taken from the musician’s work between 1995 and 2010, and will arrive in batches sorted by album. The videos will be available on all streaming services.

Three videos from 1995’s ‘The Gold Experience‘ and 1996’s ‘Chaos And Disorder‘ albums have been shared today (November 5) to kickstart the series, which will run until December 14.

Fans of the Purple One can now watch the video for ‘Endorphinmachine’, which was previously released as a hidden treasure on the 1994 CD-Rom video game Interactive.

‘Rock And Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives In Minneapolis)’ was previously only shown as part of VH1’s Love 4 One Another special in 1997, and features Prince and his band performing at Paisley Park. ‘Dolphin’, meanwhile, was the first video to be played on VH1 Europe in September 1994.

Last month, it was announced Prince would be the focus of a new multi-part Netflix documentary directed by Ava DuVernay.

The filmmaker has reportedly already been working on the series for several months. It will cover the star’s entire life and has been given the green light by his estate, who have granted their full co-operation.

Video footage, images and interviews will be included, with DuVernay being given access to the late icon’s extensive archive.
