"I’m so fucking bummed about cancelling these shows," Ozzy said in a statement to his fans

Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on his current North American tour to undergo further hand surgery.

The veteran metal singer was initially hospitalised last weekend after contracting an infection in his hand, forcing him to axe a show in Mountain View, California on Saturday night (October 6).

The remaining four shows on the North American leg of his ‘No More Tours 2’ tour have now been cancelled, with Osbourne requiring further surgery in the coming days to “treat multiple infections in his right hand”. All of those gigs will be rescheduled for 2019.

“I’m so fucking bummed about cancelling these shows,” Osbourne told fans in a statement. “The tour had been going great and we were really looking forward to these last few gigs. We’re hoping everyone will be patient and we’ll look forward to seeing them at the shows next year.”

Ticketholders for the four shows have been advised to hold onto their tickets as they will be honoured for the rescheduled dates in 2019. Refunds are, however, also available at point of purchase. See the four affected ‘No More Tour 2’ gigs below.

Osbourne is set to tour the UK for the “last time” in February 2019. As of yet, no announcement has been made to suggest that those shows might not go ahead.

Last month, Osbourne admitted that he “didn’t have a great time” during Black Sabbath’s last-ever tour in 2017.
