Homecoming shows don’t get more triumphant than this. In the beautiful setting of Omeara in Southwark, South London, Oh Wonder played last night what they themselves defined as their “smallest gig ever played”: an evening of celebration of the band’s return to their home after a long and successful tour that touched both the US and Mexico, interspersed with two performances at this year’s Coachella.

The teeny 350-souls capacity venue was packed with an excited crowd, its low ceilings decorated with 1800’s styled-chandeliers towering over their heads. Tickets for the show sold out in only 56 seconds, proof that Oh Wonder’s are some of the most dedicated and die-hard fans out there.

Sing-alongs and impromptu dances happened as Anthony and Josephine took the stage, as the first notes of the opening track ‘Dazzle’ filled the air. What followed was a hit-packed hour permeated with the band’s signature electronic ballads and late-night slow jams, from classics ‘Without You’ to ‘Lose It’ to fresh new tracks from Ultralife, their latest album release.
The Omeara show marked itself as the celebration of another special occasion for the pair, that is the release of visuals to their new single of the same title, ‘Ultralife’. The track is the first to have been released from the band’s second album, out on 16th June through Island Records. It was written, recorded, and produced by the band from their home studio in South East London.

The video was shot on location in LA with director Daniel Uribe. Uribe previously worked alongside the band on the video for ‘Without You’ from their debut record.
