Cardiff, Norwich, Dublin and Exeter are all on the calendar for 2019

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced four more live dates for 2019.

Gallagher will play a show at Cardiff Castle on May 24 alongside Gaz Coombes and Boy Azooga before heading to Norwich to headline the Sunday Sessions at Earlham Park on May 26.

After that, the musician will play Malahide Castle in Dublin on June 16 alongside Doves, Blossoms and DMA’s before heading to Exeter on June 30 to headline the Sunday Sessions at Powderham Castle.

Earlier this week, Gallagher announced details of a huge homecoming gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park, where he’ll be supported by Doves.

Marking the first time he’s performed at the legendary venue since his time with Oasis, Gallagher and his High Flying Birds will take to the venue to perform songs from their Mercury-nominated 2017 album ‘Who Built The Moon‘ at Heaton Park on Friday June 7.

As well as White Denim and others, Gallagher will be supported at the show by fellow hometown heroes, the recently reunited Doves.

The seminal Manchester trio have been on hiatus since 2010, after playing what they said could have been their ‘last ever gig’ at the Warehouse Project. Now, after teasing their return last week, they’re back with live dates on the horizon and their first new material since 2009’s acclaimed ‘Kingdom Of Rust‘. Today also saw the band announce a headline show at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust run of shows in March.

Last month, Gallagher was also confirmed to be headlining next year’s This Is Tomorrow Festival in Newcastle.

Speaking about the announcement, SSD Concert’s Steve Davis said: “We can’t wait to see some truly iconic and legendary bands and artists coming to Newcastle and we are proud to be able to confirm Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as our first headliner.”

He added: “Noel constantly smashes the boundaries of what’s possible musically, recreating himself with every album. He is a fitting addition to the festival and will blow the crowd away outdoors in the summer sun!”

Tickets for Cardiff, Norwich, Heaton Park and Exeter go on sale at 10 am on December 7. Tickets for Dublin go on sale at 9 am on December 6 and those for ‘This Is Tomorrow’ festival are already on sale.
