New music: Big sean feat. Eminem – ‘no favors’

    Oh God! Shady’s back.

Nearly four months after confirming a new album is on the horizon with “Campaign Speech,” Eminem joins Big Sean on “No Favors” off I Decided.

The menacing cut finds Marshall Mathers using a deep, sinister voice to deliver his hyper-technical bars, referencing Fergie, Dr. Dre, and President Donald Trump.

“Trump’s a bitch / I’ll make his whole plan go under,” he raps. “And tell Dre, I’m meeting him in L.A. / White Bronco, like Elway speeding / I’m about to run over a chick … Female stay beatin’ em, bet you they’ll stay bleeding / And yell wait, pleading but screaming is pointless, like feeding Michel’le helium.”

Previously, the Motor City rappers collaborated on “Detroit Vs. Everybody,” but this new track was particularly significant for Sean.

“Eminem was the only person I heard that could be on that song,” he told Beats 1. “It reminded me of why I am such an Eminem fan. It reminded me of why I fell in love with Eminem’s work. He’s unique. He’s special. When I first heard him, I feel like he was bringing new flows to the game. When he did this verse, it brought that feeling right back to me like, ‘Wow. This is a brand new energy.’ All the things he said were so necessary for the album…That’s what I was happy about. I’m glad that he addressed things, conceptually, that necessarily weren’t addressed. Super thoughtful.”

According to Sean, Em’s contribution also came as somewhat of a surprise. “I was telling him the story of the album, what it meant to me, and he honestly told me, ‘I want to be a part of it, but I don’t know if I’m gonna have time.’ That was what I got back when I was talking to him. I was like, ‘Damn. I don’t know if he’s gonna come through with it.’ Then, randomly, out of nowhere, I got the Eminem verse.”

@whiteLight - Oh boy! Gotta snatch that immediately! Team Marshall™. Thanks for the info!

The track is sick. I mean, Big Sean's verse is great, but the complexity of Em's rhymes are unrivaled.
