The star confirmed the news following speculation back in August

Neil Young has confirmed that he and Daryl Hannah are married in a message released with a new live video for his Crosby, Stills and Nash classic, ‘Ohio’.

In the message, Young confirms the marriage by referring to his “wife Daryl” whilst also encouraging his fans to vote in the upcoming US midterms.

Young says: “Give us common sense gun laws that protect out people, in schools, in places of worship, in the workplace and on the streets. VOTE.”

Back in August, rumours began circulating that Young and Hannah had married after blues guitarist Mark Miller seemingly revealed the news via a Facebook post.

Congratulations to Daryl Hannah and Neil Young on their wedding today. May they have a long and happy relationship.

According to the Daily Mirror, the couple were wed in Atascadero, California, following a ceremony on Young’s yacht near the San Juan islands.

The 57-year-old actor has been dating the 72-year-old musician for four years, following Young’s split from his wife Pegi Young. They had been married for 36 years.

Young said at the time of media scrutiny over his new relationship: “We didn’t pay any attention to that. It doesn’t matter. We don’t give a shit. We don’t care, because they don’t know what they’re talking about. And if they do know what they’re talking about, we still don’t care, but we’re happy for them. It doesn’t matter. What matters is us, not the press.”

This year, Young also appeared in the Netflix film ‘Paradox’, a fantasy Western musical that Hannah directed.

Earlier this month, Young also announced the release of a new live acoustic album called ‘Songs For Judy’ which will be comprised of recordings from Young’s November 1976 solo acoustic tour. The album will also feature the previously unreleased track, ‘No One Seems to Know’.

It’s set to be released on December 14th, with pre-orders coming with an instant download of ‘Campainger’ from a November 22nd, 1976 gig in Boston.
