The internationally acclaimed American singer, pianist, producer and musical revivalist, Michael Feinstein, has announced a special show at London's Adelphi Theatre on 27th September.

Known for his exceptional interpretations of standards from the Great American Songbook, the five time Grammy nominated recording artist will present a selection of his most loved work from Gershwin to Cole Porter to Irving Berlin for this one off engagement accompanied by his 17 piece Big Band.

More than just a performer, Feinstein, a passionate music preservationist and archivist, started his lifetime interest with the 'songbook' when he was introduced to Ira Gershwin nearly 40 years ago. His 200 plus shows a year have included performances at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, The Hollywood Bowl, as well as the White House and Buckingham Palace.

Gershwin's influence provided a solid base upon which Feinstein evolved into a captivating performer, composer and arranger of his own original music. He also has become an unparalleled interpreter of music legends such as Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington and Harry Warren. Feinstein has received three honorary doctorates.

As a dedicated proponent of the Great American Songbook, in 2000 The Library Of Congress appointed Feinstein to its National Recording Preservation Board. He is also the founder of the Great American Songbook Foundation.

Tickets priced at £65-£20
