The song featured on a film soundtrack in 2017

A 14-minute techno track by Daft Punk‘s Thomas Bangalter has been shared online in full.

The song was originally composed for the soundtrack of Latvian film Riga (Take 1), which was released last year. The movie’s score was nominated for the Latvian Film Prize’s Best Score award.

Despite the film it was written for already being out, the track was previously hard to find online. Now, a full-length version has appeared on YouTube. Listen to the full track below.

Busy P, Daft Punk’s former manager and Ed Banger Records boss, shared a snippet of the song on the Ed Banger Instagram page earlier this month.

“THOMAS BANGALTER “Riga (Take 5) »14’41’’ of mental techno recorded in a single take. Taken from Riga (Take 1) original soundtrack. Limited edition one sided 12″,” he captioned the post. “Made in Latvia, not an #edbanger release.”

Last month it was confirmed Bangalter had contributed a song to another film soundtrack, this time for the Climax score. The Gaspar Noé film also includes Daft Punk’s ‘Rollin’ & Scratchin” in its soundtrack.

Daft Punk haven’t released any new music since 2013’s ‘Random Access Memories‘, although they have collaborated with The Weeknd on two tracks from his 2016 album ‘Starboy‘ – the title track and ‘I Feel It Coming’.

Bangalter, meanwhile, produced some of Arcade Fire‘s latest album, ‘Everything Now‘. Win Butler claimed earlier this year that the musician “doesn’t actually really like electronic music.”
