Lin-Manuel Miranda has released his final Hamildrop, and this time it features Barack Obama.

Hamildrops are collaborations made in connection with the hugely successful Hamilton musical. The show debuted in 2015 at New York’s Public Theatre and has since gone on to win countless awards including 11 Tonys, a Grammy, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for its creator, Miranda.

Described as “new Hamilton content dropping every month,” the Hamildrops have seen releases from Sara Bareilles, five Elizas singing the first draft of ‘Burn’ and a mashup of ‘The Story of Tonight’ and Dear Evan Hansen’s ‘You Will Be Found.’

The final release hears the 44th President of the United States of America recite a passage of George Washington’s farewell address. The track also features Hamilton star Christopher Jackson and was produced by Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, BeBe Winans as well as Grammy and Tony award-winning producer/orchestrator Alex Lacamoir. Earlier this year it was revealed that Miranda’s musical broke another record after the release of the 2018 Olivier Awards nominations.

Hamilton gained a record-breaking 13 nominations, surpassing Hairspray and Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’s 11 each in 2008 and 2017 respectively. Miranda’s production is now the most nominated in history.

Back in the summer, it was announced that Barack and Michelle Obama had signed a deal with Netflix, which will see them producing films and TV shows for the streaming giant.

“One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience,” the former president added in a statement.

“That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix – we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”
