It's the rapper's first number one album.

Juice WRLD‘s second album ‘Death Race for Love‘ has topped the Billboard 200 in the first week of its release.

Selling 165,000 total copies in its first week of release, including 120,000 streaming equivalent albums (SEAs), ‘Death Race for Love’ gives Juice WRLD his first ever number one album.

Previously peaking at number two with ‘WRLD on Drugs’, his 2018 collaboration with Future, and then number four with ‘Goodbye & Good Riddance’ in the same year, Juice WRLD is now sitting pretty at the top spot nine months later.

The only other new entry in the Top 10 was Maren Morris’ ‘Girl’. The country pop singer’s sophomore album debuted at number four selling 46,000 total copies, a slight improvement over the number five peak of her 2016 album ‘Hero’.

Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ remained at number two with the A Star Is Born soundtrack one spot behind at three. The second half of the Top 10 were all returnees: The Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack at number five, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s ‘Hoodie SZN’ at six, Post Malone’s ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ at number seven and Gunna’s ‘Drip or Drown 2’ at number eight.

After a few weeks out of the Top 10, Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ and Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld’ returned to the chart at nine and 10 respectively.

In other news, Juice WRLD has spoken up to defend Michael Jackson’s legacy following the latest allegations of child sexual abuse against the late star.
The ‘Lucid Dreams’ rapper took to Twitter urging people “to let the legend rest” following abuse allegations levelled at Jackson in the Leaving Neverland documentary.
