She'll appear in the game for a limited time only...

Katy Perry has confirmed she will make a surprise appearance in a Final Fantasy game, as well as unveiling a new song to tie in nicely with it.

On December 12 (Wednesday), Perry will release her new single ‘Immortal Flame’, which comes as a direct tie-in to her appearance in the mobile video game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.

Although not a permanent fixture, a likeness of Katy will appear in the game for a limited time only. A brief trailer shows Katy performing a snippet of the song, before she eventually transforms into her all-powerful virtual visualisation.

It’s not her first foray into video games either, having previously appeared in The Sims 3, where she sang singing Last Friday Night in the fictional Simlish language.

Elsewhere, Katy Perry last week took the unusual move of bidding for a date with Orlando Bloom – despite the pair being a couple IRL.

After performing at the One Love Malibu concert earlier this month,Perry became an unlikely auctioneer – placing her very own boyfriend up for sale.

“This man that I am dating and totally love and respect, he is literally a Malibu OG,” Katy said as she auctioned off a motorcycle date with the star.

But things soon took an unexpected turn as Perry responded to a $20,000 bid with her own offer of £50,000 – scooping the prize herself.
