Kanye West made a surprise visit to Howard University in Washington, D.C., on Saturday (Oct. 12).

Ye's impromptu appearance at Howard -- one of the country’s most prominent historically black universities -- came as a big surprise to students, who were in the middle of preparing for homecoming events.

West, with wife Kim Kardashian and their kids in tow, held his Sunday Service at around 8 a.m., attracting hundreds of people on campus. During the performance, Yeezy performed his 2014 hit "Jesus Walks" and spoke to the crowd about concerns of African Americans, Christianity, and more.
