The news comes ahead of the band's shows at the O2 Arena this week

BTS’s 2017 documentary Burn The Stage will be getting a full cinematic release in November.

Originally released as an 8-part series on YouTube, the episodes will now be condensed into an 85 minute film ready for a cinema release on November 15.

The film follows the band’s 2017 ‘Wings’ tour and will also feature backstage and behind-the-scenes footage of the seven-piece K-pop sensations.

Reviewing their live show in NYC last week, NME wrote: “It’s…the first time they – or any Korean musicians – have ever played a stadium on this continent.”

“It’s an impressive achievement, reaching a level of this kind while performing songs whose lyrics are largely in Korean to an audience of all races, and one that…can be put down to the effects of social media and globalisation…BTS have already made history but, as they tell their fans, this is really just the beginning.”

In 2018, BTS became the first Korean act to have a top-40 UK hit; they also topped the US Billboard 200 on two occasions.

Earlier this year, BTS shared an alternative video for their song ‘Idol’, featuring Nicki Minaj on a guest verse along with clips from the ‘Idol Challenge’, which sees people recreating the group’s dance moves.

BTS broke Taylor Swift‘s YouTube record for the most-watched video over a 24-hour period with the original version of ‘Idol’.

Later this week, the band will play a series of shows at London’s O2 arena. The band are also set to appear on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (October 12).
