The new film will feature previously unseen live footage and White exploring Washington DC's sights

Jack White has released a trailer for his new documentary, Kneeling At The Anthem DC.

The star was joined by cameramen and director Emmett Malloy, who directed The White Stripes documentary Under Great White Northern Lights, on his ‘Boarding House Reach‘ world tour earlier this year.

The trailer shows White performing with his backing band at Washington DC venue The Anthem, as well as surprising students at Woodrow Wilson High School. A press release promises the film will feature previously unseen live footage, as well as scenes of the musician exploring America’s capital city.

Jack White – Kneeling At The Anthem DC will be released on September 21 via Amazon Prime Video. A six-song live EP will also feature recordings from the DC performance and will arrive on the same date via Amazon Music.

A live version of ‘Connected By Love’ taken from the EP was released today (September 11). Fans can listen to it here or by commanding their Alexa device: “Alexa, play the new song by Jack White.”

The tracklist for the ‘Jack White – Kneeling At The Anthem DC’ EP is as follows:

‘Corporation (live)’
‘Over And Over And Over (live)’
‘Blunderbuss (live)’
‘Ice Station Zebra (live)’
‘Connected By Love (live)’
‘Icky Thump (live)’

Meanwhile, White’s Seattle show in August featured a notable cover as the musician paid tribute to the city’s own Pearl Jam.

While performing at the WaMu Theater, the star delivered his own take on the grunge legends’ ‘Daughter’. The cover came shortly after the Eddie Vedder-led group took on one of White’s own songs in ‘We’re Going To Be Friends’.

Previously, White and Pearl Jam had come together at Lisbon’s NOS Alive Festival a month earlier to cover Neil Young’s ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’.
