Could Pilton get a little more gloomy?

Interpol have announced details of new UK tour dates, taking place just days before Glastonbury 2019.

Touring in support of their acclaimed 2018 album ‘Marauder‘, the NYC trio will call at the O2 Academy in Leeds on Tuesday June 25, and then Brighton Dome on Wednesday June 26. Fans are now speculating that the band could be booked to perform at Glasto, with the Worthy Farm festival happening from Thursday June 27 – Sunday June 31.

Tickets to the two new UK dates are on sale from 9am on Friday January 25 and will be available here.

New dates being announced in the US recently ruled out Paul McCartney from his rumoured headline appearance at Glastonbury 2019, while Stereophonics recently became the latest rumoured act to be part of the line-up having announced a huge outdoor UK gig in the week ahead of Glastonbury and previously declaring that it was “fucking due” that they return to Worthy Farm.

So far, Stormzy has been announced as the first Pyramid Stage headliner, while Janelle Monae has been confirmed to top the bill on the West Holts Stage and Kylie Minogue will take the Sunday afternoon ‘Legends Slot’.

Other rumoured acts for Glastonbury 2019 include The Cure, Lana Del Rey and Arctic Monkeys. Many fans have been speculating that Lauren Hill may appear, while Mel B has stated that Spice Girls are also “in talks” with the festival.
