British electro group talk to MTV News about how their latest single, 'Free,' is 'a dream come true.'

Rudimental might usually stick to drum and bass, but their latest single is far from predictable. Carried by the melodic stylings of Emile Sande, "Free" is everything fans love about the British electronic music foursome — a positive message, an upbeat tempo, and, now, a remix featuring the one and only Nas.

Rudimental stopped by MTV News to give us the scoop on how everything came together, and working with those two in particular was no coincidence.

Rudimental Cried Over New Single With Nas
"Emile Sande actually came to one of our shows. We were pretty surprised. We came off stage and she was there," they said. "She seemed to love it and wanted to get in the studio with us so we booked a couple of studio sessions and wrote two amazing tracks."

Being in the studio with Emile was so special that it brought some of the more sensitive members of the group to tears. Oddly enough that would not be the last time they would cry over "Free." When Nas agreed to remix the track and sent back his version, it happened again.

Rudimental said the Queens rapper is a "massive influence" on them and teased that their work together is far from over. "The beautiful thing about that is we're gonna be getting in the studio with Nas pretty soon, so we're more than excited to be doing that, because it's a dream come true."

So what's in store for their studio session? Rudimental summed it up for us very quickly. "Some vibes, it's all about vibes."
