Gwen Stefani has dropped the infectious new single, "Baby Don't Lie," her first new solo song in eight years. The track – co-written with producers Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder and Noel Zancanella – finds the No Doubt frontwoman stretching out her voice to an emphatic hiccup over buzzing synths and rattling drums. It's currently available to purchase on iTunes via Mad Love/Interscope Records. Check out a stream below.

Stefani explores romantic subject matter on the rhythmically driven track. "I need a love that's stronger," she sings on the chorus. "If we ever give up, then we're gonna die." Fans can check out a sneak peek at the track's official video, directed by Sophie Muller and Weirdcore, during Monday night's episode of NBC singing competition The Voice. The full clip will premiere on Tuesday viva Vevo.

"Baby Don't Lie" is the first taste of the singer's third solo album, though no concrete release info for the LP has been made available. Back in September, Billboard reported that the album, which is being aimed for a December street date, will feature production work from Stefani's frequent collaborator (and fellow Voice coach) Pharrell Williams and be executive produced by Blanco.

This as-yet-untitled record will be Stefani's first release since 2006's The Sweet Escape. Since then, the singer reunited with No Doubt for 2012's Push and Shove and joined The Voice as a coach for the ongoing Season Seven.

Stefani recently appeared with Voice coach Blake Shelton on The Tonight Show, where the two singers squared off against host Jimmy Fallon in a hilarious lip sync battle.
