Get ready for 'Norman Fucking Rockwell'

Lana Del Rey has teased that she could be unveiling a brand new track next week.

Back in September, the ‘Video Games’ star released two singles from her upcoming new record ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’. ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ was the first taste of the Jack Antanoff-produced album, with ‘Venice Bitch’ arriving a week later. Another cut, How To Disappear, was released in October.

Now, after previously teasing a track called ‘Slyvia Plath‘, Lana Del Rey has told fans that a new single could emerge next week. “I think I’m putting a song out January 8th,” the singer said during an Instagram Live broadcast, “but I’m not a thousand per cent on it. Maybe the eighth.”

Elsewhere in the live update, the star confirmed that the record is ‘completely finished’. According to this Reddit thread, Del Rey also said that its artwork has been shot, although she might re-shoot the cover.

Following her Instagram Live session, the singer joked that her “New Years resolution is to live more like an Instagram baddie/YouTube vlogger in my real life.” See that tweet below.

Earlier this month, Lana Del Rey performed a collection of new songs with Jack Antanoff during a New York benefit show. One track was reportedly introduced as ‘I Must Be Stupid for Being So Happy’. However, one fan reported that Del Rey said the tracks in question were made “just for fun”, and therefore aren’t likely to end up on her next album.

It was also reported this month that Del Rey’s upcoming LP will be released on March 29, 2019. Her last record, ‘Lust for Life’, was released back in July 2017. In a four-star review, NME said: “Sure, it’s a bit silly, but also utterly fabulous too – and that’s why we love Lana so.”
