When GWAR frontman Dave Brockie passed away earlier this year, it left the band with a nearly un-fillable hole in their lineup.

The surviving members of the group first brought back Mike Bishop, who had previously been known as Beefcake the Mighty when he first joined the group in 1988. He is now the co-leader of the group in the guise of Blothar.

Then, this past weekend, GWAR debuted their other new singer at Chicago's Riot Fest, Vulvatron who, in her normal life, is known as Kim Dylla. Kim is the first female member of the group since 2000 and the first not to be relegated to a background role.

According to the site Wondering Sound, "Meet Vulvatron, a spiky purple Amazon whose massive (prosthetic) breasts occasionally shoot geysers of blood out onto her hapless audience."

Dylla is no stranger to heavy metal music. A graduate from the University of Virginia with degrees in art and computer science, "Kylla" has made stage clothing for the likes of Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium and Carcass along with custom made clothing for fans through her Dylla's Kylla Custom Rock Wear. She has also been lead singer in the Virginia based bands the Kung Fu Dykes and This Means You.

As far as Vulvatron, we'll have to learn more about her as her backstory emerges.
