    Grammy Nominations

    Kendrick Lamar leads all nominees for the 61st annual Grammy Awards with seven, including album of the year for the Black Panther soundtrack. The album’s “All the Stars,” written by Lamar and SZA, also is among nominees for record of the year, song of the year, best rap/sung performance and best song written for visual media.’

    Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper earned four noms for “Shallow”, from A Star Is Born. Drake, Cardi B and Childish Gambino also are among the leading nominees.

    “All the Stars” will be up against “Shallow” and the two top contenders at this year’s Oscars, “Remember Me,” from ‘Coco’, which won Best Song, and “This Is Me”, from The Greatest Showman, in the best song written for visual media category.

    Tiffany Haddish and Courtney B. Vance are among the nominees for spoken word album, Haddish for “The Last Black Unicorn,” and Vance for “Accessory to War (Neil Degrasse Tyson & Avis Lang)”. They join fellow nominees Jimmy Carter, Questlove and David Sedaris.

    Call Me By Your Name, Deadpool 2, The Greatest Showman, Lady Bird and Stranger Things were nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Black Panther, Blade Runner 2049, Coco, The Shape of Water and Star Wars: The Last Jedi received noms in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category.

    The 61st Annual Grammy Awards honor the best in recordings released between Oct. 1, 2017 and Sept. 30, 2018. The awards special, live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center, airs Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019 on CBS.
