The Glasgow songwriter will head out on the road in March

Gerry Cinnamon has announced a string of UK and Ireland headline tour dates for 2019.

The rising Glasgow singer/songwriter – who is currently supporting the Courteeners on their ongoing winter tour – is being touted as Scotland’s “most successful independent artist”. Cinnamon’s successful run has included a sell-out set of gigs at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, which saw him become the first unsigned artist to sell out the venue on multiple nights.

Cinnamon has now announced his biggest UK and Ireland tour to date, which’ll kick off on March 7 at Belfast’s Ulster Hall. The jaunt will continue through to the end of the month, where he’ll conclude the headline tour with a gig at Birmingham’s O2 Institute on March 31.

Speaking about the tour, Cinnamon said: “The last year has been wild. The album is flying. Scottish tour sold out in jig time. England and Ireland dates done the same and then two nights in the Dam. And it’s all just from word of mouth. No big marketing. That means the folk who come to the gigs are there ’cause they love their tunes. That means it’s real. It might not seem like much but it means something to me. See when the crowd’s with you singing every word it’s a mad feeling. Can’t wait to get in about it again with these shows!”

See Cinnamon’s tour dates below, and grab tickets here when they go on sale on Friday at 9am (November 30).
