They used social media to determine when their targets would be away

A gang of 10 men are facing a series of charges in relation to a spate of celebrity burglaries across Los Angeles, according to California’s City News Service.

Most prominent among their victims was Rihanna, with the likes of LeBron James and Matt Damon reportedly next on their list of planned raids.

They are now facing felony charges including conspiracy, burglary, and home invasion robbery in connection with the crimes.

According to court documents, R&B singer Christina Milian and baseball player Yasiel Puig were also burgled by the gang before they were apprehended, following a burglary at NFL player Robert Woods’ home.

The men were first arrested in October. At a news conference, the police displayed stolen items including handbags, jewellery, watches, $50,000 in cash, and a gun.

The gang reportedly used social media to determine when their targets would be away from home. Rihanna was at the highly publicised Met Gala in New York when her home was broken into in May.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed last week that Rihanna and Donald Glover are due to co-star in a new film called Guava Island.

A surprise trailer surfaced online, confirming longstanding rumours that the pair were working together after being spotted on a set in Havana. A Cuban publication claimed that Rihanna’s trip coincided with the filming dates for Glover’s project.

Guava Island is credited in the trailer as “A Childish Gambino film”. Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie are also confirmed to star in the movie.
