Foo Fighters reveal new song via mysterious countdown website

It's been a sad week for Foo Fighters - and the music world in general. The band were among many artists who felt compelled to cancel their tour following the terrorist attacks in Paris, which resulted in the deaths of 129 people. Now though, fans who'd bought tickets to the tour have something to look forward to. The band have teased one minute of a new song via their mysterious countdown website.

The website, which features the text "Nothing's set in stone", fades between a series of black & white photos of the band while a countdown clock ticks away. At the time of writing, that countdown reads, "02:17:24:16" - which means whatever it's counting towards will be revealed in just over two days.

Now, the band have added a sneak preview of a new song, which could be called 'Nothing's Set In Stone' - though that may be the title of a new album, tour or anything inbetween. Listen to the song on the band's mysterious website here.

Eagle-eyed Foo Fighters fans have established that the music file is titled, '2nd century AD', so perhaps that's the song title. Or perhaps they're making a film set in the 2nd century. Who knows?

A few months back, the people of Cesena, Italy managed to persuade the band to book a show in the region by recording a viral cover of 'Learn To Fly'
