The singer released her fourth album 'Sweetener' today (August 17)

Fans think there’s a hidden tribute to Manchester victims in Ariana Grande‘s new album ‘Sweetener’, which she released today (August 17).

The new LP follows her 2016 album ‘Dangerous Woman‘, which reached the top of the Official UK Albums Chart upon its release. ‘Sweetener’ features the singles ‘No Tears Left To Cry,’ ‘The Light is Coming’ and ‘God is a Woman’.

Upon its release, fans noticed that the last song on the album, ‘Get Well Soon’, finishes with 40 seconds of silence to bring the track’s running time to 5:22. The Manchester attack took place on May 22 last year.

The star had just finished performing at the venue when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device, killing 22 people and injuring 59.

Fans have applauded the pop star for ‘honouring the victims of the attack’ with others calling ‘Get Well Soon’ an ’emotional and beautiful track’. You can see their reactions below.

Grande is yet to confirm whether the added 40 seconds silence is to honour the victims of the attack but she did share a thank you to her fans. “mood

🙂 gonna to cry all day lol. thank you for your warmth. thank you for listening and hearing me. happy sweetener day and i love you,” she tweeted.

Earlier this year, Grande spoke of how ‘everything is different’ after the incident. “You hear about these things. You see it on the news, you tweet the hashtag. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again. It makes you sad, you think about it for a little, and then people move on,” she said.

“But experiencing something like that firsthand, you think of everything differently,” she continued. “Everything is different.” She added that getting back onstage was “terrifying”, but “it’s the most inspiring thing in the world that these kids pack the venue.”
