"He was SO loved by so many around the world."

Faithless have recalled how Keith Flint once drove a motorbike into a wall at 100mph and then immediately got back on stage.

The ‘Insomnia’ band revealed The Prodigy frontman’s daredevil side as they paid tribute to him after his death on Monday.

Posting on Facebook, Faithless wrote: “Devastated to hear the news of Keith’s passing. Faithless & The Prodigy have shared many of the same stages, & crew over the years, and toured together in SA back in the day.

“He was SO loved by so many around the world, and gave of himself with such panache.”

They added: “He also got back on stage & gave it after 100mph bike crash into a wall!! This man was a titan.

“Love & respect to all his friends, family, fans, band & crew. We must look after each other & not be afraid to seek help.”

While the crash has previously gone unreported, Flint was known for his love of racing and was the founder of motorbike squad Team Traction Control.

The Prodigy frontman was found dead at his Essex home on Monday – with his bandmates later confirming that he had taken his own life.

“It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint,” said the surviving Prodigy members Liam Howlett and Maxim Reality in a statement. “A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”

In the wake of his death, the details of Flint’s final hours began to emerge. It was revealed that he had been seen completing a Park Run in Essex over the weekend, while others had seen him buying lunch for his personal trainer in a local pub.

Yesterday, Johnny Rotten added his voice to the tributes and said his heart was broken by Flint’s death.
