Yannis and the band are making their live return next month

Everything Everything bassist Jeremy Pritchard has joined Foals as a live member for their 2019 tour dates.

The Oxford band, who announced the departure of their bass player Walter Gervers last year, are set to hit the road this summer in support of their upcoming new album, ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1’. Ahead of the full tour in June, Yannis and co. will play a trio of intimate gigs next month.

Now, as the comeback dates edge closer, the group have announced that Jeremy Pritchard of Everything Everything will be stepping in to play bass on a temporary basis.

Announcing the line-up change on Instagram, Foals wrote: “While our friends Everything Everything are on a break before making new music, they have kindly loaned us their bass player Jeremy Pritchard, who will be touring with us this year.”

Posting a shot of the two bands together backstage, Everything Everything also tweeted the news that Pritchard is “spending a season on loan” with the band.

Speaking about Walter Gervers leaving the group, frontman Yannis Philippakis recently told NME: “He was probably the nicest member of Foals, so without him, you’re left with four sharp edges in a room. Those sharp edges have to find a way to get on quite quickly or the whole thing turns into an unbearable nightmare.”

He added: “In terms of the writing of the record, it wasn’t a problem. With no disrespect to Walt, we cruised through it!”

Last week, the band shared ‘On The Luna’ – the second track from ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1’. The track followed the lead single ‘Exits’.

Foals will release the first of two ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’ albums on March 8.
