The surprise album was released in August

Eminem‘s latest album ‘Kamikaze’ has earned platinum status after selling over one million units. The album was surprised released in August and marked the rapper’s tenth full-length release.

The album ignited a number of feuds with fellow artists, after Eminem dissed the likes of Lil Yachty, Machine Gun Kelly, Ja Rule and more on the LP.

The announcement follows the news that Eminem broke two records this year with ‘Kamikaze’ and ‘Killshot’. The album is currently the best-selling hip-hop album of 2018, beating competition from the likes of Drake, Post Malone, XXXTentacion and Cardi B.

‘Killshot’ shot to the third-highest amount of views for a music video within 24 hours of being uploaded when it dropped in September. At present it has over 166 million views.

The song is a diss track aimed at Machine Gun Kelly, a response to Kelly’s track ‘Rap Devil’, which was itself a response to ‘Kamikaze’ track ‘Not Alike’.

Machine Gun Kelly responded to ‘Killshot’ by giving it a six out of ten and imploring his rival to “answer the fucking facts”. It was later revealed that both Eminem and Kelly’s diss tracks were produced by the same person.

When news of Eminem’s latest recording-breaking status broke, his previous collaborator 50 Cent took to Instagram to share his thoughts.

“Man do you see this shit,Think about it the Biggest hip hop song on you tube”, he wrote.

“Now everybody gotta take a L because of MGK. What the fuck, we didn’t have anything to do with this shit Damn. How many times yal was playing that shit. LOL get the strap”.
