Early Cardi B Mixtape, Lizzo EP Among Musical Treasures On Tap For 2019 Record Store Day Black Friday

Record Store Day's Black Friday event is just around the corner (Nov. 29) and this year's rapidly expanding list of goodies, rarities and special releases features some must-haves from U2, Lizzo, Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney, The New Pornographers and many, many more.

The roster of albums, singles, CDs, cassettes and books available in limited editions on Black Friday at independent record stores just keeps growing and growing.

As you start making your list, here are some of the very special items you might want to keep en eye out for:

-- Cardi B's Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1 mixtape, the rapper's debut release, originally issued in March 2016, will be available on vinyl for the first time. The 13-track tape features the tracks "Washpoppin'" and "On Fleek," among others.

-- Lizzo's 2016 debut EP, Coconut Oil, will also be issued on vinyl for the first time.

-- The Weeknd's first EP, 2018's My Dear Melancholy, will also hit vinyl next month.

-- A brown vinyl edition of Jonathan Fire*Eater's Wolf Songs for Lambs album.

-- Pearl Jam will honor their Record Store Day Ambassadors title with the first-ever vinyl release of their MTV Unplugged album, recorded on March 16, 1992, three days after wrapping up their first headliing European tour.

-- A three-LP edition of Patsy Cline's Sweet Dreams: The Complete Decca Studio Masters 1960-1963 in red, yellow and purple vinyl versions.

-- U2 have a numbered RSD 12" anniversary repress of their THREE single, which was originally released in Ireland in Sept. 1979. The single features the 2019 remastered editions of the original songs "Out of Control," "Stories for Boys" and "Boy-Girl" as well as new anniversary artwork.

-- Tenacious D's Blue Series 7", available in black vinyl with tri-color variants only at Third Man Records's Nashville and Detroit stores.

-- Paul McCartney is offering a 7" of songs from his recent Egypt Station album.

-- Dave Matthews Band will stuff stocking with a live 5-LP box set, Live at the Hollywood Bowl.

-- Arcade Fire will release 2,000 7" vinyl copies of their breakthrough "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)" single.

-- Nick Lowe celebrates four decades of his signature hit "Cruel to be Kind" with friends in Wilco.

-- Todd Rudngren pays further homage to his pals in Squeeze as part of his "Swindles" series with a cover of the band's "Bang Bang."

-- Jenny Lewis' 7" On the iPhone, with a never-before-heard version of "Rabbit Hole" and a cover of Bob Dylan's "Standing in the Door Way." Both recorded on Lewis' iPhone and available on limited-edition pink viny.

-- A 7" vinyl RSD exclusive double A-side single of Lewis Capaldi's "Hold Me While You Wait/When the Party's Over."

-- A 12" vinyl RSD exclusive version of Madonna's "I Rise" single.

-- A RSD First LP picture disc of former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher's Why Me! Why Not. solo album.

-- A 12" vinyl RSD exclusive release of Jeff Buckley's Live on KCRW: Morning Becomes Eclectic.

-- Fans of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams can grab a special edition of Across the Stars, a reworking of five of his themes from across the Star Wars universe for violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter on an etched 12".

-- Late rock legends Leon Redbone and Dr. John will be remembered with live albums, including Redbone's 1977 German shows, Strings and Jokers Live in Bremen 1977 and John's 1968 Babylon album, which has bene out of print for 40 years.

-- First time vinyl editions of The Matrix Reloaded on three 12" transparent green vinyl (limited to 1,500 copies). Score as well as songs by Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Deftones and Paul Oakenfold. Also The Matrix Revolutions on coke bottle green vinyl.

-- Former Replacements singer Paul Westerberg will release his alter ego Grandpaboy's Stereo/Mono on double vinyl for the first time.

-- A 12" vinyl RSD First of Katy Perry's "Never Really Over/Small Talk" singles.

-- Bruce Springsteen's "Western Stars" and "The Wayfarer" on 7" vinyl.

-- Holiday albums on the list include: Squirrel Nut Zippers' 1998 Christmas Caravan vinyl release, Jimmy Hendrix and Band of Gypsys Merry Christmas and Happy New Year picture-disc, Emmett Otter picture disc, Vitamin String Quartet's The NIghtmare Before Christmas, as well as holiday-themed releases by The Marshall Tucker Band, Hall and Oates, CAnned Heat, The Monkees, JD McPherson, Eric Clapton, The Regrettes, Acid Witch and Sammy Hagar.

Also look for releases from Frank Zappa, Charlie Parker, Phish, Elvis, Lou Reed, Sublime, Sugar Ray, Tank and the Bangas, Willie Nelson and The National.
