The rapper called Parq Vancouver "the worst run business I have ever witnessed"

Drake has accused a Vancouver casino of racially profiling him after the rapper attempted to gamble at the venue.

The Toronto musician’s Aubrey & The Three Migos tour arrived in Vancouver yesterday (November 3) for two shows at the city’s Rogers Arena.

In a post on his Instagram story, Drake called out Parq Vancouver for preventing him from gambling, as Spin reports. “Parq Casino is the worst run business I have ever witnessed,” he wrote. “Profiling me and not allowing me to gamble when I had everything they originally asked me for.”

The rapper’s fans later inundated the casino’s Instagram page with angry comments. The Instagram account has since been deleted.

In a statement posted to Parq Vancouver’s website, a spokesperson said: “Parq Vancouver is sorry to hear about this experience and takes these matters very seriously. We are required to adhere to strict regulations with respect to gaming in British Columbia. We are actively investigating this matter and have made several efforts to reach out to the customer and his team to discuss the issue. We are committed to having a productive conversation to resolve this issue.”

They later added another statement, which apologised to Drake and said the company “categorically stand against racism of any kind. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and enjoyable experience for all.”

Meanwhile, last month, Drake broke a record that had previously been held by The Beatles for 54 years. His recent guest spot on Bad Bunny’s ‘MIA’ saw him have 12 songs to reach the top 10 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2018.

That figure is the most one artist has ever had in the chart in one year. The Beatles‘ record, which was set in 1964, was 11.
