"Nice work Charlie!"

Dave Grohl has responded after a charming video showed a baby rocking out to ‘Play’.

The mini-documentary was released earlier this month and follows the Foo Fighters frontman as he attempts to play an impressive seven instruments during a 23-minute composition.

But while the composition stunned Foo Fighters fans across the globe, it’s also received a special thumbs-up from one fan in particular.

In a video posted on Twitter, 17-month-old Charlie can be seen offering his best drumming to the Grohl doc.

“He is 17 months old and our little dude Charlie would rather rock out to this incredible song than be watching In the Night Garden or Paw Patrol”, his dad Jon Drew wrote.

Now, his tribute has received the backing of Grohl himself.

“Nice work Charlie!! Go get em!”, Grohl wrote on Twitter.

The documentary is one of Grohl’s many passion projects, and he describes himself as “a kid in a candy store” when faced with playing the instruments in the music studio.

“To any musician, young or old, a beautiful studio full of instruments is like a playground”, he admits in the documentary.

Grohl also talks about the difficulty of music making during the opening moments of part one, saying making music is always a “puzzle and a challenge” and a “beautiful mystery.”
