Eight years after releasing a limited-edition remix album of Human After All exclusively in Japan, Daft Punk have finally made it available worldwide.

As Consequence of Sound reports, the French electronic duo quietly put the remix compilation of their 2005 album up on iTunes after giving it a surprise reissue in Japan earlier this year. The 15 track-album features six different reworkings of the song "Technologic," including approaches by Peaches, Basement Jaxx and Liquid Twins, as well as an album-closing "long-lost" remix by Le Knight Club, the side project of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The new release also features work by Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Digitalism, Justice and Daft Punk themselves.

Back in March, Daft Punk aficionados received another unexpected treat when a previously unreleased collaboration between Daft Punk and Jay Z called "Computerized" surfaced online through a Daft Punk fan site. Shortly after that, Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas, who joined the robots on the Random Access Memories track "Instant Crush," revealed that he has another collaboration with them waiting somewhere in the vaults.

In other Daft Punk news, the BBC announced at the end of June that it is producing a documentary about the duo. The hour-long film, which promises to "tell the extraordinary story of the two award-winning French DJ musicians hidden behind robot masks" is set to air in 2015.
