The rapper provided a guest verse for the recent track

BTS have shared an alternative video for their song ‘Idol’, featuring Nicki Minaj and clips from the ‘Idol Challenge’.

The track was released last month and features a guest verse from the ‘Queen’ rapper. In the new clip, she appears in neon green wig surrounded by a melée of bright furniture. Her lyrics are translated into Korean on the purple background behind her.

The video finishes on clips of BTS fans performing the ‘Idol Challenge’, which sees people creating the group’s dance moves. Those featured in the video include kids and someone in a panda suit. Watch the video below.

BTS broke Taylor Swift‘s YouTube record for the most-watched video over a 24-hour period with the original version of ‘Idol’.

Swift had previously set the record with her comeback single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ last year, racking up 43.2 million views in one day. ‘Idol’ bested that number when it was first released, clocking in at over 45 million after 24 hours had passed.

The K-pop group will head to the UK for the first time in October when they will perform two shows at The O2 in London. Both shows have already sold out.

The boyband, consisting of members RM, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, have amassed a huge global following and have become one of the leading global K-Pop exports. Their band name is an acronym for Bangtan Sonyeondan, aka “Beyond The Scene”.
