Britney Spears is apparently calling herself "Mrs Ebersol".

The 33-year-old singer has only been dating TV producer Charlie Ebersol since last year but things have moved quickly, and she was even spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring during a recent trip to Hawaii.

She's walked down the aisle before with back-up dancer Kevin Federline and childhood sweetheart Jason Allen Alexander, with that wedding being annulled a mere 55 hours later, but it seems Britney is keen to tie the knot again now she's met the right man.

"They talked about doing it when her Vegas residency was meant to end in December this year, but now that her show will continue into 2017 they've decided it makes sense to wed during her two-month break this summer," a source told British magazine Closer.

"Everyone agrees Charlie is the best thing that's happened to Britney. He hasn't officially proposed, but they speak about wedding plans all the time and Britney even calls herself 'Mrs Ebersol'."

The couple put on a loved up display at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, where they couldn't keep their hands off each other on the red carpet.

Britney already has two sons, Jayden and Sean, from her time with Kevin. However she is apparently hoping to expand her brood - only after she and Charlie have exchanged vows.

"Brit and Charlie are desperate to start a family together and with both of them coming from traditional backgrounds, they want to marry beforehand," the insider added.

It wasn't just Britney's relationship that was in the spotlight on Sunday; she took to the stage to perform with Iggy Azalea, belting out their track Pretty Girls.

"So so SO exciting!! There are so many people to thank for making #PrettyGirlsonBBMAs happen tonight! (sic)" Britney wrote alongside a snap of them on Instagram, thanking the Aussie rapper and others who helped in the show.
