The records keep piling up for the star

Ariana Grande has officially become the most streamed artist worldwide on Spotify.

The star’s streaming stats have been boosted in 2018 by the release of her fourth studio album, ‘Sweetener’, and the huge success of the single, ‘Thank U, Next’.

After ‘Thank U, Next’ became the the fastest song in Spotify history to surpass 100 million streams earlier this month, Grande has now earned the title as the most streamed artist worldwide on the popular streaming platform.

Surpassing Selena Gomez, Grande reached the milestone today (November 30) after surpassing the staggering mark of 46.9 million monthly listeners. In a tweet, the star thanked her fans for their efforts in helping her claim the title.

Grande will share the much-anticipated video for ‘Thank U, Next’ tonight (November 30). It’s set to reference the cult teen film Mean Girls. Grande has been previewing the clip for the past few weeks, revealing that the likes of Troye Sivan and Jonathan Bennett (AKA Mean Girls’ Aaron Samuels) will have cameo roles.

In the latest episode of her new docu-series Ariana Grande: Dangerous Woman Diaries, Grande shared an emotional letter that addresses the terrorist attack which claimed 22 lives following her concert at the Manchester Arena in May 2017.
