The multi-person human jukebox known as Arcade Fire went way back for their most recent cover at their Edmonton, Alberta concert Monday night, where they tackled Huey Lewis and the News' 1985 tune "Back in Time." The tune was originally written for the movie Back to the Future, playing on Marty McFly's clock radio and during the end credits, and it went on to reach Number Three on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart despite never being released as a single in the U.S.

Fan-shot footage of Arcade Fire's encore, spotted by Consequence of Sound, shows them kicking into the song after "Normal Person," reportedly as a tribute to Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox, who was born in the city. After playing the song for a couple of minutes, they transition into their own "Here Comes the Night Time."

In recent months, while touring in support of their Reflektor album, Arcade Fire have been showing their versatility with covers of "Axel F" (the Beverly Hills Cop theme), Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Hey Tonight" and a mash-up of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and their own Suburbs song "Rococco." Other noteworthy covers include the Smiths' "London," Chuck Berry's "Roll Over Beethoven," Prince's "Controversy" and Boys II Men's "Motownphilly." It's a trend they kicked off with their tour opener in March, when they played the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time" before "Here Comes the Night Time" at a concert in Louisville.

The band will be on tour through the end of the month before wrapping things up in their hometown of Montreal.
