Adele's "25" will not be on Spotify

Today, after a wait of more than four years, we can finally say 'Hello' to Adele's new album. But those of you eagerly anticipating streaming it on Spotify, while you pore over the lyrics of the new songs, will be sorely disappointed - follwing the likes of Taylor Swift and Neil Young, Adele's 25 won't be availble to stream online. Which means Adele won't be adding to the 50 pence per billion streams that artists are rewarded (give or take) to her net worth.

If you go onto Adele's artist page on Spotify, you'll be met with a sad message in place of 25. "The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify just yet. We're working on it, and hope we can change their minds soon."

The New York Times reports, according to information provided by "three people with direct knowledge of the plans", that the singer's third album also won't be available on Apple Music either - or any other music streaming platform.

It's hardly likely to hurt Adele's album sales. It's one of the most hotly anticipated albums of the decade, following the phenomenal success of its predecessor, 21.

Gonna throw this on right now. Not a huge fan but she can sing, man.
